Award winning saxophonist, Noel Catura has been performing and teaching professionally for over 30 years. In 1981, Noel teamed with noted blues singer/guitarist Chris Cain and helped the band achieve critical acclaim both nationally and internationally. Noel has also toured with Verve recording artist, Joe Louis Walker and Mo’ Muscle recording artist, Sista Monica.

Throughout his career, Noel has performed at such prestigious festivals including the San Francisco and Sacramento Blues Festivals, The West Palm Beach Festival (Florida), Bumpershoot Festival (Seattle), Montreal Jazz Festival (Canada), The Gospel and Rhythm and Blues Festival (New York), The Notoden Blues Festival (Norway), Belguim Rhythm and Blues Festival and many more.

Noel has performed with renowned artists such as Charles Brown, Eddie “Clean Head” Vinson, Albert King, Kim Wilson of the Fabulous Thunderbirds, Pat Ford, Ike Turner, Robben Ford, Joe Louis Walker, Bobby Womack, Ron E. Beck, John Lee Hooker, Joey DeFrancesco, Duke Jethro, Don Menza, Jeff Lorber, Chris Cain and Sista Monica.  He has also shared the stage with greats like Ray Charles, Phoebe Snow, Maynard Ferguson, Chick Corea, Stanley Clarke, Kenny G, Russell Ferrante, Jack McDuff, Shirley Scott, Al Green, Kool and the Gang, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Robert Cray, Albert Collins, Jr. Walker, Buddy Guy, Memphis Slim and a host of others.

Noel currently performs with his jazz combo, The San Jose Jazz Orchestra and San Francisco dance band, Big City Revue.
